Froggie Frustration

Cancelled wagers, incorrect transmission, bad bets = a Sunday shutout for our friendly neighborhood Frog.......

The race track was true to all styles on Sunday night as no one strategy proved more effective than any other. It is interesting to note that as we enter the final ten days of the meet, the racing itself has been great due to the fairness of the surface. We have seen all types of winners and credit has to go out to Greg Cardenas and his crew for maintaining the fine surface on the track.

As for the Frog, it wasn’t a very good night. Our initial wager on the card was cancelled when it was transmitted incorrectly to the print shop. It was listed under the wrong race and was chopped off before the entire wager was explained and completed. In race five. Fluff O Macktic won for us, but we missed our trifecta play, In race eight, our exacta pick of Sightings and Madura finished 2-3. Our last wager saw Fox Valley Octavia win for us, but we failed to hit our wager when Funny Place made a break and Tlcasap hung in the lane. For the evening we wagered $74, and got shutout. Let’s really fire some big cash into tonight’s card.

Race Two:   Ms Maggie was run into in her first career start and lost all chance. This classy filly will make no mistakes tonight. We will play her straight up and use her in a trifecta play.

$50 Win & $50 Place on Ms Maggie (4).

$2 Trifecta Key – Ms Maggie (4) on top with Andrews Lady (3), Fox Valley Sophia (5) and Justina Jones (6).

Total Wager:  $112

Race Five:   Independent Babe moves inside after a big try from the outside. The Berwyn Series conditions fit her to a tee and she needs a 1-2 finish to guarantee herself a spot in the final. We’ll play her straight up.

$20 Win & $20 Place on Independent Babe (1).

Total Wager:  $40

Race Six:   Buddha Baby was raced conservatively in his first start of the year. With the start under his belt he should be ready for a top effort. Honor The Cash is a classy trotter who looked a lot better in his last start and his best effort makes him a major player in here. It’s an exacta box play.

$10 Exacta Box – Honor The Cash (7) and Buddha Baby (8).

Total Wager:  $20

Race Nine:   Mack In Black has had two impressive Hawthorne victories and should be able to handle this next step up in class. Incredible Amos has been knocking on the door and should be in the thick of the battle once again. We’ll box these two in an exacta.

$10 Exacta Box – Mack In Black (3) and Incredible Amos (4).

Total Wager:  $20
