One Outta Four Ain't Bad? For Frog it Is!

FROG DOOLEY

On Saturday, the world famous Frog made four $20 to win and place wagers, but only Out On A Bender pulled through, returning $6.20 to win and $3.60 to place in the night’s seventh event. Entering Sunday’s action, Frog is still showing a slight profit for the meet.

Finally, the Frog will be out of town for a couple days. Although I spend a great deal of life being chased by predator fish, I will be chasing walleye and northern pike up in Wisconsin. Don't worry, my picks are already filed for Sunday and Tuesday, but you're on your own Wednesday and Thursday. My wagers will return on Friday.

Original Bankroll: $2,000.00

Total Wagered: $2,054.00

Total Return: $2,174.30

Current Bankroll: $2,120.30 (thru Saturday, May 20)

For Sunday, May 21, 2006
Race Two:   Claudius Q looks good as gold in here from the rail. We’ll key him in a trifecta with Luv’s Best, He’s Awfully Good and The Big Pooch.

$5 Trifecta Key – Claudius Q (1) on top with Luvs Best (3), He’s Awfully Good (6) and The Big Pooch (7).

Total Wager:  $30

Race Five:  Mack In Black has been facing much better in recent outings, looks good in here. Whatafinale had an eye-opening effort in his last start. Duplicate figures to be in the thick of the battle. We’ll box these three in an exacta play.

$5 Exacta Box – Duplicate (4), Mack In Black (6), and Whatafinale (10).

Total Wager:  $30

Race Six:   Victor’s Pursuit was a beaten favorite in the Muscles Marinara Final and is in a spot to make amends. Battleshoe Victor closed strong in first local outing and connections ponied up to supplement him to this race. The Vicster has won 4 of his last 5 and is a major threat. It’s an exacta box play.

$5 Exacta Box – Battleshoe Victor (1), The Vicster (5) and Victor’s Pursuit (7).

Total Wager:  $30

Race Ten:   Clova makes her 3 year old debut tonight and I like the double qualifier that ensures fitness. She faced some tough cookies last season and she should start her sophomore campaign with a victory.

I’ll bet her straight up.

$20 Win & $20 Place on Clova (7).

Total Wager:  $40

TOTAL WAGERED: $130
