Frog Nearly Falls Off His Lilly Pad

FROG DOOLEY

Our friend the Frog may be away on a fishing trip, but he can’t stop thinking about harness racing, and his allegiance of faithful fans. He gave DAK the horse a ring via cell phone on Sunday night, and nearly fell off his lilly pad when told that Victor’s Pursuit won Leg One of the Eddie Oakley at 5-1.

Earlier in the evening, Frog had already secured a profitable night by hitting a $58.60 Exacta 2 ˝ times in race five, and he came right back to nail the generous $35.00 Exacta 2 ˝ times with Victor’s Pursuit edging The Vicster in race six. His $20 to win and place on race ten victress Clova was just icing on the cake.

Finally, the Frog will be out of town for a couple days. Although he spends a great deal of life being chased by predator fish, he has now turned the tables and is chasing walleye and northern pike up in Wisconsin. You're on your own Wednesday and Thursday. Frog Dooley makes his triumphant return on Friday.

Original Bankroll: $2,000.00

Total Wagered: $2,184.00

Total Return: $2,494.30

Current Bankroll: $2,440.80 (thru Sunday, May 21)

For Tuesday, May 23, 2006
Race One:   In The Lane raced well last week after a three week layoff. He should be ready to put this field away. It will be a straight up play.

$20 Win & $20 Place on In The Lane (5).

Total Wager:  $40

Race Three:   C U Next Tuesday drops into maiden claimers and gets major post relief for tonight’s race. Hot Fusion woke up when dropped to this class and also moves inside for the good. We’ll box these two in an exacta play.

$10 Exacta Box – C U Next Tuesday (2) and Hot Fusion (3).

Total Wager:  $20

Race Five:   Destiny’s Bandit came from off the pace and closed off a slow half. It appears he likes this oval and we will take a shot on him in a straight wager.

$20 Win & $20 Place on Destiny’s Bandit (5).

Total Wager:  $40

Race Seven:    Ms Maggie prepped well for her first lifetime start. I like the double qualifier and both of those efforts gave us a hint about this obviously talented filly. It’s a straight play.

$20 Win & $20 Place on Ms Maggie (4).

Total Wager:  $40

TOTAL WAGERED: $140
