Frog Dooley for Wednesday, May 10

FROG DOOLEY for 5-10-06

Tuesday’s Results

On Tuesday, for the first five races all the winners were near the top as all were within a couple of lengths and no worse that third at the top of the lane. However, just like on Sunday night, things began to change when the temperature dropped a few degrees. In the 6th race, the first horse to score coming from behind was Jess I Can for driver Ron Marsh as they tallied from 7th at the ¾ post. That was followed by two more horses coming from way back to win – The Moops in the 7th and Depravedhedonist in the 8th. So it appears as the night winds cool the track down, the bias also changes slightly.

The Frog began the night slowly as his first play of the night, Costly Sport in the 1st was never in contention. Frog connected on a $10 exacta play in race two as we collected $63 on the Shirley’s Lass and Alba Too exacta. Alterity failed to fire in the 6th and it appeared he might have needed that start. Finally, Frog scored on his last play of the night, hitting a $5 exacta in the 10th and adding $42 to the bankroll. Thus, for the evening, the Frog wagered $150 and received a return of $105.

Original Bankroll: $2,000

Total Wagered: $508

Total Return: $687

Current Bankroll: $2,179 (thru Tuesday, 5/9)

Wednesday’s Frog Plays

Frog’s Leap of Faith -- Giza, Hereshecomesagain and Rated Well

Race One:   A filly that looked to put it all together in her last start was Giza. Trainer John Butenschoen saw his 3 year-old daughter of Dream Vacation win going away in 1:57 and if she is anything like she was in that start, she will not get beat in here. Let’s play here straight up and tie her up in some Pick Threes.

$20 Win & $20 Place on Giza (4).

$2 Pick Three – Giza in the 1st, with Madges Diamond, Dotsies Place and Tuneful Hanover in the 2nd, with Kan Wire, Fox Valley Shimmy, Earlivac and Elegant Sis in the 3rd.  4 with 2-5-6 with 4-6-7-9.

Total Wager:  $64

Race Six:  Hereshecomesagain went a monster mile last time out and didn’t have the kindest of trips in that race either. Starting from post two, an easier trip is in store and she looks too good to get beat tonight. We will bet her straight up and key her in a trifecta.

$20 Win & $20 Place on Hereshecomesagain (2).

$2 Trifecta Key – Hereshecomesagain on top with Pecos River Queen, Collegezone Dotcom and Carlees Conquest. 2 with 1-3-6.

Total Wager:  $52

Race Seven:  Rated Well has had a pair of effortless wins in his last two starts and in his latest he was under wraps for driver/trainer Todd Warren in that 1:53.3 tally. He look pretty solid in here so let’s just make a straight win and place bet on him.

$20 Win & $20 Place on Rated Well (3).

Total Wager:  $40

Race Ten:  In this wide open final contest of the evening let’s try to cash in on a trifecta play. I like Go For Home N and Die Lute on top as both are coming off pretty nice efforts. Sand Tattler and Four Starzz Tickets are both coming into this race off of victories and I expect both of them to be in the thick of things. We’ll use all four of these horses on our trifecta ticket.  Let’s go for it.

$2 Trifecta Key – Go For Home N and Die Lute on top with those two and Sand Tattler and Four Starzz Tickets underneath. 4-9 on top with 1-4-7-9 underneath.

Total Wager:  $24

TOTAL WAGERED: $180
